fixing error 25580, or where is version IDS 7.32.uc1n154 ?

I have IDS 7.30.UC7 for Linux. From time to time, and especially with long
running transactions, I get error 25580. I've seen this on my apps, and on
dbaccess too. In researching this on the Informix web site, I think this is
defect #114935, which is fixed in version IDS 7.32.uc1n154 (according to the
doc).
But I've never seen a v7.32. Is that an internal version? Is it a patch? Is
it fixed in IDS.2000? Is it fixed in the current offering on the Intraware site
(v7.30uc10-1)? ...
The bottom line question is: how do I get this thing fixed?
TIA for any pointers!
Kevin
There is no 7.32 release. We use 7.32 for backporting/testing patches from 9.2+.
Here's the scoop.
We do a nightly build on all products prior to the GA of that level. For instance
prior to 7.30 being released, we would do a nightly build on 7.30. When we get
ready to release 7.30 the code stream is frozen, 7.31 is split off from 7.30 and
the nightly build process continues on 7.31. When a bug is encountered it is first
checked to see if the problem also occurs on 7.31. If it does, then we fix the 7.31
code and backport the patch into 7.30 to be fixed in an interim release (the 'r' in
'r3').
Currently we have a 7.32 branch which was split from the 7.31 code tree when 7.31
went into general release. We had to do this because we can not directly backport
code from 9.3 where the current developement is being done. The code stream is too
different. So what we do is to develop a patch for the problem if it still exists
in 9.3, but often the problem no longer exists. This is often not so much that the
problem has been fixed, but that the basic code streams between 7.31 and 9.3 are so
different. Therefor, we need a branch in the code stream for 7.3 code which is
distinct from the 9.3 code stream. That is where 7.32 is used. It is the branch
that we use to create patches for the 7.3x product. In order to get the patch that
you need, you must contact tech support and request a 7.31 backport to be put into a
7.31 interim release.
