Is the "border" attribute for >window not enough? BORDER is just FINE once the proper termcap/info settings are made AND *read* by your Informix process. >After checking throug several Megs of paper manual I give in. Unix system manuals? There are termcap codes *specific* to your terminal type that need to be defined (I don't have my notes handy on this at the moment) that control the horizontal line and vertical line capability plus a 3rd one as I recall. AND is your INFORMIX picking up *YOUR* redefined termcap Ie: its common to have the system pick up from /etc/termcap. Have you defined your INFORMIXTERM ? (I think thats the one) variable to point at your revised termcap/info files? In my last life the termcap situation for us folk in IS was so dismal that I ended up writing my own and operating exclusively off that from my login shells to application software. TERMCAP... The "black box" technology your mother never warned you about :-) Don "making 4gl perform unnatural acts for cash" Bolton
