Will whatever this attribute is work in an input > array statement? If you are doing a query, it happens automatically without any attribute being specified. If you are doing input, it does not happen at all, regardless of which attributes you set. Or, more succinctly, there is no attribute to control this. D4GL does have a scroll attribute that allows a field to be scrolled horizontally; it does not move into the overflow area, though. -- Yours, Jonathan Leffler (Jonathan.Leffler@Informix.com) #include <disclaimer.h> Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- http://www.perl.com/CPAN "I don't suffer from insanity; I enjoy every minute of it!"] Hope this helps, Sue "Sinan UST" <sinanust@hotmail.com> on 20/10/2000 11:16:21 To: informix-list@iiug.org cc: (bcc: Sue Davidson/EXE) Subject: Is scrolling field exist in 4GL forms (per)? Hello to all, I have a data entry screen and I need to add a new data entry field for URL ( char(120) ). There is only one line available on the form. That means I cannot use WORDWRAP attribute to divide the string into segments. Can I use a 40-char long field that allows scrolling when user types more than 40 chars? And also after retrieving from the database the complete URL should be seen by scrolling (if it is more than 40 chars long). Thanks in advance for your help and ideas!
