Milt, A very good GENERAL database book is __An Introduction to Database Systems__ by C.J. Date, I have the Fifth Edition ISBN 0-201-51381-1, but there may be newer editions by now. Date is probably the MOST quoted and studied relational-database author around. His book is not easy reading, but will cover all of the general database principles -- with many good examples. I would suggest his book above anything else that I have read. Hope this helps. Larry Hector My opinions, hectorl@vrinet.com not necessarily theirs !
