Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Question/Issue: If you are deleting rows from a table ( table uses row
level locking) with a 4gl application using the rowid ( delete from table
where rowid = ? ) as the constraint, how may locks will that produce between
the commits.
If I do an onstat -u | grep username and find the session_id for the
application I can see the number of locks that application currently has in
the 8th column. I consistently see 10,000 between committs and not the 1000
I was expecting. Does the application put locks on the system table(s) as
well or does the application possibly have a bug?
Thanks
