Hi, Do you mean ALTER TABLE or an UPDATE ? Tables in version 5.03UD3 were always altered completely. If you just update a few rows, the number of rows processed can be found inside the sqlca record ( sqlca.sqlerrd[2] ) if you are using ESQL/C Bye Stefan Weideneder
