just out of curiosity, what kind of problems can PRINT real_estate * 100 USING ..... cause? -joe- (huddles@hasting.com) ---------- From: ilist To: informix-list Subject: Removing Decimal Points in Reports Date: Monday, July 17, 1995 8:24AM Ken Integer columns can only hold whole numbers so I assume you have made a mistake in the posting. If the numbers you are holding all have 2 decimal figures, why not print it by doing this DEFINE pvar INTEGER LET pvar = real_estate * 100 PRINT pvar USING "#####&" Since pvar is an integer, there is no need to specify the print format unless you want to ensure that the field is a fixed width on the report. By the way, you might be considering the following: PRINT real_estate * 100 USING ..... DON'T. It can cause you problems as runtime. It is better to assign the results to a temp variable.
