I've a database with about 1 mln data. New data are loaded once a year (during summer). Every load is about 600 000 new data. Very often are made reports on about 600 000 records. Sometimes we must update with for example new column with defaults. These updates take a long time. We work on AIX 4.3, 1 processor, UDS 9.14 What size of buffer pool, number of LRUs, page cleaners, number and size of logical logs, size of physical log, and so on should I configure? Thanks, Anna
