RE: Stress testing
Posted in 2000
I have before used a stress tool written in Python that opened a configurable number of sockets (could connect to anything that accepted socket connections, e.g., database server, web server, mail server) and then blasted away. I imagine that any scripting language (Python, Perl, Tcl) that can open socket connections could be used to write such a tool. Run on a remote machine, this stresses the server but the tool stresses only the local machine. -------------------------------------------------------- Peeter Pirn http://www.lfg.com > -----Original Message----- > From: Watson, Paul [mailto:Paul.Watson@aggregate.com] > Sent: Wednesday, October 25, 2000 4:26 AM > To: 'Gustavo Martinez'; informix-list@iiug.org@internet > Subject: RE: Stress testing > > > > I want to do a stress testing from my database; > > Threaten to fire it, call it names ??? > > > in other words, i want to test which is the maximum > > quantity of queries con the database > > process.
