16-bit CLI ODBC and IIS 4.0 - getting error IM003 [Microsoft][ODBC DLL] Specified driver could not be loaded
Posted in 1999
Hi, I try to connect via an CGI-application (running on a NT - Internet Information Server 4.0) to an Informix datasource on a remote server and get the following error message: NOTE: 432320 : Start PADOLE WARN: 436288 : load Odbc.dll -> Counter 1 WARN: 436288 : Loading Odbc Function SQLAllocEnv <Success> WARN: 436288 : Loading Odbc Function SQLAllocConnect <Success> WARN: 436288 : Loading Odbc Function SQLConnect <Success> L8 : 436352 : user:admin , DSN:appntcli WARN: 436352 : Loading Odbc Function SQLError <Success> FATL: 436352 : CADBConn(0x263f3064): state: IM003 message: [Microsoft][ODBC DLL] Specified driver could not be loaded WARN: 436352 : Loading Odbc Function SQLDisconnect <Success> FATL: 436352 : CADBConn(0x263f3064): state: 08003 message: [Microsoft][ODBC DLL] Connection not open WARN: 436352 : Loading Odbc Function SQLFreeConnect <Success> WARN: 436352 : Loading Odbc Function SQLFreeEnv <Success> WARN: 436416 : FreeLibrary Odbc.dll -> Counter 1 The application uses the 16bit Informix-CLI 2.5 for ODBC. The mystery is, that when I use the application itself, everything works well!! Only when the app is used via OLE by the Internet Information Server, the error occurs. (Note: IIS 4.0 works as a process - not a service, so the user who is logged on (not IUSR_computername) starts the SQLConnect. All ini-files (informix.ini, odbc.ini) can be reached within the PATH-variable.) Maybe the message text "specified driver could not be loaded" is misleading!? Any hints on that? - Thanks!!!
