Y2K compliant? Informix 7.23 UC4 ?

Hi DBA's, I was curious to know that if Informix indicates an issue with 7.24 UC8, can I take that to mean that all prior versions leading up to 7.24 UC8 have issues? I am running on 7.23 UC4. Thanks, Dave Lahoti http://www.informix.com/informix/products/year2000/y2khist.htm
In a word or two, "Yes" or "Most Likely". Yep, may not be what you want to hear but it is the truth. Take care. The "Y2k-compliant version" is a bit of a movable feast, isn't it? Earlier
in the year when we were deciding on a release to which to stick for our Y2K
testing, the advice from Informix was v7.24 UC6. They've probably since
discovered a few, hopefully arcane, issues with this - hence UC8. It may
happen again before the end of the year, and another UC level may become the
deafult.
Certainly, in the testing we've done to date, v7.24 UC6 has been fine from a
Y2K perspective, although glaring bugs in kaio (for HP-UX) and onload are
very irritating.

No Dave... There are times when what worked before, now does not. Just because there is a bug in one UC does not mean the bug was in past UCs. Sometimes things break when new code is added. Oh I am sorry... not "breaks"... an enhancement.
