When I compiled my DBD,I received the following error messages: Configuring DBD::Informix version 0.60... You are using DBI version 1.02 and Perl version 5.00503 Remember to actually read the README file! Using INFORMIX-ESQL Version 7.24.UC5 from /usr/informix DBD::Informix doesn't check whether ODBC or Informix-CLI software is installed any more. It uses a home-brew odbctype.h instead. Testing whether your Informix test environment will work... cc: /usr/informix/lib/libnetstub.so:linker input file unused since linking not done cc: /usr/informix/lib/libnetstub.so:linker input file unused since linking not done /usr/informix/lib/esql/libxsql.so:undefined reference to `_xstat` /usr/informix/lib/esql/libxos.so:undefined reference to `crypt` collect2: ld returned 1 exit status Failed to link test program esqltest I am so anxious that I can not use DBI.Someone has same problems? Help me!
Please read the README file -- you'd know then that you'd not given all the requisite information, and that you are not asking in the correct place. However, fortunately for you, I'm a fairly helpful type, most of the time. You're using a recent version of Linux, possibly RedHat 6.0, and you are also using the 7.24.UC5 version of ESQL/C (and hence, presumably, the matching version of SE). The problem with _xstat is the giveaway. Ideally, you should upgrade to CSDK 2.30 or 2.10. Failing that, you will need to install and arrange to use the compatability mode C compiler and libraries. These are available with RedHat (and, I believe, other distributions). You will probably have to rebuild your Perl to use this alternative C compiler, and reinstall DBI, etc. That's why I think you will be better off installing CSDK. Obviously, if my deductions about the platform etc are incorrect, you'll be asking your follow-up questions in the correct forum and with all the correct information. njtv wrote: > When I compiled my DBD,I received the following error messages: > > Configuring DBD::Informix version 0.60... > You are using DBI version 1.02 and Perl version 5.00503 > Remember to actually read the README file! > > Using INFORMIX-ESQL Version 7.24.UC5 from /usr/informix > > DBD::Informix doesn't check whether ODBC or Informix-CLI software > is installed any more.
