You can implement it this way.
create table parameters(param decimal);
insert into parameters values(123456.44); :
:
insert into parameters values(678790.00);
Within your ace program you can have table join and with "IN (select *
from parameters)" you should be able to achieve the same.

How are you building your $parameter3 string in the shell?
Try building it just as shown above and when done stick a single quote at either
end.
