I am running a procedure and within a procedure I have an insert. Even
though there are no other sessions running I get the error 271 Isam
144 (locked table).
I checked the syslocks table and the type of lock is IX.
Any idea why this happens?
Thanks,
Vasilis

Are you testing in dbaccess? Using the Query menu? From multiple sessions?
Dbaccess begins an implied transaction for you. If you did not commit it,
the original session will be holding a lock.
