Re: Check it out! Scam

Hi You should all also know that this area code is an over sea's international toll call. The number is someware down in the virgin islands and any number thare could be the equivalent to a 976-XXXX number hear, exept complaints to the local phone company will not get the bill waved and thay are not required to tell you about the charges during the call. Thare have been other posts warning about scams that get people to call the 809 area code, 644 is part of the old 809 area. Thay have to split area codes sometime too. If you check out the web page: http://www.bellcore.com/NANP/newarea.html it lists all area codes and thare locations, location to area code, and info about new area codes. Check befor you dial.
