}From: briang@access3.digex.net (Brian Gallagher) }Subject: Keyboard Timeout Probs (Escape Sequences) }Date: 26 Jan 1994 13:04:01 -0500 } }I am using Informix (OL 4.10 on 3B2) over a network and am having problems }with the keyboard when using the special keys that generate escape }sequences. The chars in the escape sequences get broken into different }packets and by the time the last char gets to Informix, it has already }timed out and proccessed the first two as individual chars. } }Is there an Informix equiv of the curses notimeout() function that }will prevent this from happening, or preferably, is there a way to }make the timeout longer so that the user's won't have to hit the ESC }key twice in order to send an ACCEPT signal to Informix? Environment variable DBESCWT is designed for these circumstances. It takes a value, in seconds, of the delay between the arrival of an ESC character and the next which determines whether the user simply hit ESC or whether it was the start of a function key sequence.
