RE: Slow trigger in cluster-environment

I would like a little more information.
What are the timings for doing the update to the remote box(no trigger) vs
a local box.
When you say running on the same machine, do you mean different
database same instance, or did you have two instances of informix
running on the same box?

The only difference should be the network latency to transfer the update
record to the server and the confirmation back to the client versus a local
shared memory or loopback connection.
