RE: In-place alter bug
Posted in 1999
Use this script. I got it from Informix when I had to revert back a
version.
#!/usr/bin/ksh
#. /usr2/informix/set730_4
tblpartnum=1048577
#numdbs =`dbaccess sysmaster << !!! 2> /dev/null|grep -v max|awk '{print
$0}'
#select max(dsbsnum) from sysdbspaces
#!`
# 7.30 the above select max doesn't work, it erors out, so you have
# to hard code the number of dbspaces
numdbs=6
i=1
while (( i <= $numdbs ))
do
dbaccess sysmaster <<!
select hex(t1.pg_partnum),
t1.pg_pagenum,t1.pg_physaddr,hex(t2.partnum),t3.tabname
from syspaghdr t1, sysptntab t2, systabnames t3
where t1.pg_partnum=$tblpartnum
and t1.pg_flags=2
and t1.pg_next !=0
and t1.pg_physaddr=t2.physaddr
and t2.partnum=t3.partnum
!
let i=i+1
let tblpartnum=tblpartnum+1048576
done

Subject: In-place alter bug
I received email from Informix today about a bug with in-place alter. The
link below explains it the best.
My question is how can I find all the tables which have been "in-place
altered"?
