The fact Oracle needs to quote remarks from a usenet news group to sell its product tends to suggest their marketing department is significantly more productive than their R & D folks. If you have a decent product to sell, you don't need to kill the competion with heresay. So, here is a quote for the Oracle folks. We have a large application (2000+ binaries) running on Informix. Yes, we have some non-trivial problems with Informix. We originally started the development using Oracle. After three months of development we abandoned several thousand man hours of work because the Oracle product was found to be unstable and their technical support was useless.
