Temp Tables and ROWIDS

Hello,
when using IDS 7.31 UC2 we ran into the problem, that the
server states error -857 (Rowids do not exist on table).
The code we use something like:
SELECT field1, field2
FROM stat_table
WHERE 1 = 2
INTO TEMP tmp_table
... Insert some data into tmp_table ...
SELECT field1, field2, ROWID FROM tmp_table
This works fine on different SE-Engines, as well
as IDS 7.23 TC24, which we use on Windows-NT.
Why doesn't it anymore work on 7.31 UC2? Does
anyone know, if it is a bug?
The problem is, that we are not able to
create a unique index on tmp_table.
Because we are using this way of working a lot of
times in our applications, we looking for a way
to make it work again. Otherwise we will have to
do a lot of recoding.

I had a problem with a temporary table ( probably not related.... ) as well. Basically it involved rows being deleted from the temp table but the table index wasn't being updated. To solve it I was asked to take WITH NO LOG out of the table creation. If you use that option perhaps take it out and see if the situation improves.
Create a serial column and use it instead of the rowid
