Re: need SCO Unix help please

Thanks. Initially, none of them worked. I was able to crank up
dbschema and dbexport. dbschema showed v7.23. Then I tried these
commands again. The first two worked, the second two did not. (The
two that worked showed the same version as dbschema.) The fact that
any worked at all, I guess had to do with my having added
"/usr/informix/bin" to the PATH. Until I did that, I couldn't get
dbschema or dbexport to work either. Even when I was in the /bin
directory itself.
Appreciate the help,
Tom

Tom,
Here is the ODBC setup from an actual similar installation of Informix
Standard Engine (which you have) on SCO 5.0.5 (host name "scosysv"):
# uname -a
SCO_SV scosysv 3.2 5.0.5 i386
# dbaccess -V
DB-Access Version 7.23.UC13
# grep sqlexecd /etc/services sqlexecd 10002/tcp Informix Standard Engine
# grep sqlexecd $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts
sqlexecd setlitcp scosysv sqlexecd
Command to start the host network connection module (make sure DBPATH is
set):
$INFORMIXDIR/lib/sqlexecd sqlexecd
ODBC driver settings:
Server name: sqlexecd
Host name: scosysv
Service: 10002
Protocol: sesoctcp
