You can try to play with the priority settings for name resolving in the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\CurrentControlSet\\Tcpip\\ServiceProvider and change the keys DnsPriority, HostsPriority and LocalPriority This worked for me with regedit. I dont know of any tools to do the job. Installing several Copies of Informix, helps getting used with regedit ! ;> Again thanx Cris
