I have tried to install IDS 9.40.FC5 install on P5 series machine using AIX 5.3 operating system. It failed with the error shown below. Please give me suggestion and solution thanks in advance 0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for /usr/lib/libc_r.a[aio_64.o] because: 0509-136 Symbol kaio_rdwr64 (number 0) is not exported from dependent module /unix. 0509-136 Symbol listio64 (number 1) is not exported from dependent module /unix. 0509-136 Symbol acancel64 (number 2) is not exported from dependent module /unix. 0509-136 Symbol iosuspend64 (number 3) is not exported from dependent module /unix. 0509-136 Symbol aio_nwait (number 4) is not exported from dependent module /unix. 0509-136 Symbol aio_nwait64 (number 5) is not exported from dependent module /unix. 0509-136 Symbol aio_nwait_timeout (number 6) is not exported from dependent module /unix. 0509-136 Symbol aio_nwait_timeout64 (number 7) is not exported from dependent module /unix. 0509-026 System error: Error 0 0509-192 Examine .loader section symbols with the 'dump -Tv' command.
Have you read the machine notes? There are some things you need to do in order to use kaio under AIX. Also FCn is a 64 bit port of IDS, is your O/S compiled to 64 bit? The amount of errors with '64' in them makes me think not. This looks to me like a missing os driver issue. Please check your aix os related to loaded drivers - Portable Streams Environment (PSE) - Asynchronous IO (AIO) By the way, this is also mentioned as item 2) in the machine specific notes 9.40.FC4 as same as 9.40.FC7. Beginning 9.40.FC8 the related number has changed from 2) to 3) See http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/informix/pubs/library/notes/machnote/machno te.html#m5 To enable AIO after subsequent reboots, you may issue the following commands as root: /usr/sbin/chdev -l aio0 -a autoconfig=available /usr/sbin/mkdev -l aio0 Please also check your AIX documentation on this...
