ER = Enterprise Replication CDR = Continuous Data Replication HDR = High-availability Data Replication CDR was the original name for ER -- it's the same thing. What I heard was that it was called CDR internally at Informix, but just before it was released, Marketing changed the name to ER. HDR, on the other hand, is an entirely different thing. And I agree with Madison, HDR will *NOT* work between two different OS's. What's "ER"? Sorry to be a thicko, but I've only heard of CDR and HDR - and I know that I can't use CDR because of the serial problem. Paul
