Running 7.2 with 250 users. Very I/O intensive application. Locks are
currently at 400,000, any thoughts?. Also when running onstat what does
the lockreqs number represent? It is a very large number.
Thanks

Are you running out of locks? (ovlock > 0)
Our systems have LOCKS set at 300000 due to locking requirements of the
Lawson software that we run. I'd say, if it's not causing any problems,
don't worry about it.
Lockreqs have to do with the way that Informix handles locks. I also
noticed the increase when we migrated from 5.x to 7.x. I'd watch
lokwaits, though.
