Could you share them with us ? We're running SCO 3.2.4.2 and have database servers using Online with I-Star and client machines using I-Net. 1. We found database archives only had 20-25% of the data written to tape! We upgraded to 5.05 because of a tech. alert warning of archive problems in earlier versions!!! 2. We get client/server network errors all the time (Err 914 in particular) 3. When client/server data transfer performance is appalling. A piece of SQL that select all rows from a table and outputs it to file takes 8 seconds when running on the server and 3.5 minutes when running on a client machine. Informix are in the process of re-compiling 5.05 using a different compiler. Tests indicate the re-compiled version does not exhibit these problems. --- Paul Mahoney, X-Act Solutions Limited smail: Owlsmead, Meads Road, Little Common, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex TN39 4SY email: ptm@xact.demon.co.uk
