Informix-Server configure problem

Hallo I have install Informix-Server V7.3 on REDHAT-Linux. When I start the program onmonitor and will bring the server in online-mode I got following error message: shared memory not initializied for INFORMIXSERVER "name" What can I do or where can I find the right documentation for settings of shared memory!
