HPL and shared memory problem
Hello all helpful informix experts !
I am trying to find the optimal method for copying all data from one
database to another.
Both databases have the same structure except for indexes in the target
database.
My method works until I'm trying to run two HPL jobs in parallel (not
for the same database tables)
or when I starts a new job after the first one is finished. The I get
shared memory problem .
See listing bellow .
The point whith this method is to do the copy without storing unloded
data on a divice
but through a unix special file ( mknod </usr/sbin/mknod file> p
Create a FIFO (named pipe)).
Why do I get shared memory problem ?
Is there anybody out there that know :

A better way to copy data from one database to another ?
