We hit this one a few weeks back. It was caused by us using the last parameter passed to the REPORT function in an internal ORDER BY. We said: OUTPUT TO REPORT(l_stuff.*, l_thing) and ORDER BYed l_thing. When we put l_thing into the l_stuff record all behaved nicely.
