RE: onpload - assert fails, mt_shm_alloc problem?
Posted in 2004
try the following, one thing at a time
1. bounce the engine and try the onpload command
2. make sure there are no hung share memory segments
3. drop and re-create the onpload database and try the command
4. set IPLOAD_VMSIZE to 9000, then 12000 or 14000 and try the command (you will need to bounce the engine after setting IPLOAD_VMSIZE env variable).

Subject: onpload - assert fails, mt_shm_alloc problem?
Hi team
Using onpload in command-line mode and with commands that used to work
on our IDS7.31, HP-UX10.20 setup is now failing under IDS9.30HC5,
HP-UX11i with messages:
===============================================================================
12:17:49 No symbol table found for oninit.
12:17:49 Assertion failure information (if any) may be incomplete.

and onstat -j gives:
===============================================================================
onpload attach failed, rtn: -1 errno: 0
shmkey: ABCDEF load_base: 1964C96

I have PLOAD_SHMAT set to 1; have also tried with it unset. Also have
PLOAD_TRACE and PLOAD_DEBUG set to 1 but have seen no useful output.
All these errors are similar to those noted in previous cdi posts but
no reasons are to be found.
Anyone????????????????????
