Error in install script of the IDS 9.40 Demo

Hi all, =20 After downloading IDS 9.40 demo for Linux (form the IIUG downloading = area), I received the following error during execution of the installserver installation script: =20 etc/install: line 1301: 14505 Illegal instruction +ACQAew-BRAND+AH0- = -n -s +ACQAew-SERNUM+AH0- +ACQAew-KEY+AH0- +ACQAew-NAM+AH0- Installation of Informix Dynamic Server failed.=20 =20 And the script finishes. =20 My OS is Red-Hat Linux 8.3 2.4.18-14. =20 The user name under which the installation error occurs is Informix. = I+IBk-ve also set the INFORMIXDIR variable to the appropriate directory. =20 Any recommendation for correcting that error? =20 Thank you =20 Kostas Vassilikiotis =20 DISCLAIMER: This message (including any attachments) is confidential and = may be privileged.If you have received it by mistake please notify the = sender by return e-mail and delete this message from your system. Hi, it seems like you do not have the correct machine/processor architecture, i.e. hardware. You should have Intel i686 processor for IDS 9.40.UC1 to work. This is documented in the file "ids_machine_notes_9.40.txt" 1. This product was built on RedHat Linux 7.2 for i686 compatible processors and is targeted for Linux Kernel 2.4.7 or higher and glibc 2.2.4 or higher versions.
