RE: IDS 10.0 error writing to /dev/null under Solaris only

Don't know if it's relevant, but on all my Sun boxes (5.8 and 5.9)
/dev/null is a hard link to /devices/pseudo/mm@0:null. Admittedly
the underlying permissions match yours, but it may have some bearing.
Haven't got IDS 10 to test, but IDS 7 and 9 both output OK.
$ls -al /dev/null
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root other 27 Aug 24 2004
/dev/null -> ../devices/pseudo/mm@0:null
$ls -al /devices/pseudo/mm@0:null
crw-rw-rw- 1 root sys 13, 2 Mar 6 13:17
/devices/pseudo/mm@0:null

Could be. But 9 works fine for me on the same box, it's just a 10 thing.
