How to drop a table when the system tables are corrupted?

we have a tool that create tables and their columns from a file. For an unknown reason that tool has created a table without the columns; when using dbaccess we can access the table but it has no columns and no indexes. This is has caused us a lot of problems and when we run oncheck -cID it seems that the system tables are corrupted here are the messages that are generated: ============= start of messages ============================= Validating indexes for rocky4:informix.systables... Index tabname ERROR: No btree item exists for data row. Rowid 0x280c contains key value: Key: "r_loclrd_wy":"sde ": Index tabid ERROR: No data row exists for btree item. Btree item contains rowid 0x2804, key value: Key: 651: Rowid 0x2804 contains key value: Key: 687: Validating indexes for rocky4:informix.syscolumns... Index column ERROR: No btree item exists for data row. Rowid 0x6c10 contains key value: Key: 683:1: Index col_xtd_id ERROR: No btree item exists for data row. Rowid 0x6c11 contains key value: Key: 0: Validating indexes for rocky4:informix.sysindices... Index idxtab ERROR: No btree item exists for data row. Rowid 0x8a05 contains key value: Key: 682: Index idxname ERROR: No btree item exists for data row. Rowid 0x8a05 contains key value: Key: "a1080_ix1":"sde ":682: Validating indexes for rocky4:informix.systabauth... Index tabgtor ERROR: No data row exists for btree item. Btree item contains rowid 0x2e09, key value: Key: 651:"sde ":"public ": Rowid 0x2e09 contains key value: Key: 687:"sde ":"public ": Index tabgtee ERROR: No data row exists for btree item. Btree item contains rowid 0x2e09, key value: Key: 651:"public ": Rowid 0x2e09 contains key value: Key: 687:"public ": ================= End of Messages ========================= I tried to drop the table in question but I got the message: 206: The specified table (r_loclrd_wy) is not in the database. 111: ISAM error: no record found. Suggestion one? Stop using that tool! The only thing you can do is get a usable schema, unload the tables that DO have data and columns, drop the database, recreate and reload. Art S.
