Alan was a ( I thought ) friend of a friend. I had a firm offer that I had accepted with the exception of I wanted to meet him first. After this I talked to Alan -- who claimed he had an exclusive on this job. Next thing I know I'm sitting in a lobby and my ( I thought ) to-be employer won't talk to me -- won't talk to the recruiter I was working through -- cost me a lot of $$ as I was moving from the west coast to the east coast to take this job. I don't really think this list should be for recruiting, but don't mind it.
