Hello, here is my little problem:
OS: Reliant UNIX 5.43
ONLDS: 7.20UC?
RM400 with 2 network cards (10MBit Ethernet/ATM)
NODE: DBSERV
***/etc/hosts
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx DBSERV
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ATMCARD
***/etc/services
svc_DBSERV_soc 7500/tcp
***$ONCONFIG
DBSERVERNAME onlp07DBSERVERALIASES srv_DBSERV_soc
***sqlhosts
onlp07 onipcshm DBSERV onlp07
srv_DBSERV_soc onsoctcp DBSERV svc_DBSERV_soc
With this configuration ONLDS works without problems. But I want to work with
the faster ATM net. For that, I changed my configuration as follows:
***sqlhosts
onlp07 onipcshm DBSERV onlp07
srv_DBSERV_soc onsoctcp ATMCARD svc_DBSERV_soc
After "onmode -yk" and "oninit", this is what you can read in the INFORMIX
logfile:
***informix.log
- listener-thread: err= -25572: Network driver caanot bind a name to the
port. System error = 126
- Attempting to bring listener thread down
- INFORMIX-OnLine Initialized -- Shared Memory Initialized
- Physical Recovery Started.
- Physical Recovery Complete: 0 Pages Restored.
- Logical Recovery Started.
- invoke_alarm(): /bin/sh -c '/usr/informix/log_full.sh 5 6 "Internal
Subsystem failure: 'MT'" "Attempting to bring listener thread down" '
- invoke_alarm(): mt_exec failed, status -1, errno 0
- PANIC: Attempting to bring system down
After I restored my previous configuration, ONLDBS initialized without
problems.
Any ideas?
Thank you, Volker
