Informix 7.31.UC6 on AIX 4.3.3 bugs

In one of answers "smooth1" <smooth1@iclway.co.uk> wrote nit to use Informix 7.3.UC6 on AIX 4.3.3. because it is "buggy". Does anybody now what are the bugs? I just received a copy of that release. Should I wait for newer one or ask for older one or can proceede? Thanks

We haven't noticed any bugs with 7.31UC6 but have upgraded our test systems to UC7; no problems there either (yet). Notice notice: 7.31UC6 & UC7 seem to have several nasty lurkers which are showing up mostly on HP but do not seem to be platform specific. If you don't get bit both releases contain many bug fixes over UC4 & UC5 so you may decide to stick with it. Just keep an eye out. The nature seems to be new crashes and assert failures not data corruption. FWIW Art S. Kagel "B.
