Dave Katz recently posted, }I am running SCO UNIX V with INFORMIX 4GL 4.10. I am unable to get }4GL to recognize the F6 and F7 keys on my console correctly. I am also }unable to remap ACCEPT to a function key. } }I have proven to my own satisfaction that 4GL is looking at the correct }termcap entry for the function key - it just isn't recognizing the }function key in the following statement: } }(in a menu) } COMMAND KEY(F7) } CLEAR SCREEN } EXIT MENU } }My environment says that my terminal is ansi; INFORMIXTERM is set to termcap; }the termcap entry says F6 is ^[[R and F7 is ^[[S. My keyboard produces these }strings correctly. (If I change the termcap entry, the program behaves as if }it is receiving ^[[S when I hit F7.) It's just that hitting F7 doesn't trigger }the clear screen and menu exit. Unfortunately, hitting F6 does! Any ideas? } Seems that the termcap entry could be the problem after all. Check and verify that the entires for F1 - Fn are all mapped the correct entries k0 - kn. The key here is the k0 = F1 so k6 = F7. Seems that everything is shifted over for some reason. Do F1 - F5 work correctly (in terms of their Informix mapping)? I recall seeing some termcap entries on this list a while ago and if I'm not mistaken Walt keeps many archived. Hope this helps.
