Check the log file of Informix located at $INFORMIXDIR/online.log or
$INFORMIXDIR/*.log, there is information that can help you to find the
problem.

Asunto: if2k on linux redhat 6.0 -shared memory
I am also installing if2K on Red Hat 6.0 and am getting a
"oninit: Fatal error in shared memory creation" message after
running oninit -i. I have installed the source files and looked at
the shared memory macros in <asm/shmparam.h> and the
semaphores. They seem to be the same as the spec as listed
in the "release/IDS_9.2" file. I am using the kernel as out of the
box 2.2.5. Minimal changes have been made to the onconfig file
NETTYPE is onsoctcp, a cooked file is being used.
Is there something I am missing? Is it still neccessary to recompile
the kernel even though it doesn't seem that anything is different.
