Creating a serial column in an ONLINE engine does not create a
unique index on the column (at least through straight SQL statements,
if you use the dbaccess create table menu it might).
But if you run the following SQL it will not give you an
error:
create table tab1 (col1 serial);
insert into tab1 values(1);
insert into tab1 values(1);
