RE: 7.23 UC4 vs. 7.30 UC3
Posted in 1998
Hvae you run consistency checks with IDS 7.30.UC3?
We found that oncheck -cI will run for days using IDS 7.30.UC3-1 software.
However, a patched IDS 7.30.UC3X3 version seems to have resolved that
problem.
We are also specifying "NO_SUBQF=1" to disable sub-query flattening.
With this release, sub-query flattening can yield incorrect results.
Informix personnel informed me that this "bug" is fixed in IDS 7.31.

My client had 7.24 to be installed. We had problems with 7.24 and was told
by INFORMIX that 7.24 was on "hold". We upgraded to 7.30.UC3 and were will
pleased with this product. It ran with no problems that we experienced.
Tech. support for Informix gave the 7.30.UC3 good reports and we found them
to be true.
I would recommend 7.30.UC3.
