And with a business case, we will gladly support non-ansi in other arenas as well. But non-ansi support for Informix was our first priority for the "Non-ansi" RIS. In addition the RIS development products, do allow for non-ansi (database specific) datatypes, and commands, but of course, if you make any (database) specific coding, expect the portability of the code to become an issue.
