Informix binding problems

Hi, I'm using Informx IDS 12.10.TC5W1 on Windows 2012 R2 with two network interfaces. When I start Informix, its always starts in the second network card with port 9088. But I need to start it in the first network card. I already tried to change Windows Network Bindings, metrics, etc., but nothing happens. Any idea?
Hi Cristiano, if it is not too late, I will try to answer you. First a little introduction: Informix is binding listeners according to sqlhosts file (or registry). If you wrote IP address in third column (in row representing your INFORMIXSERVER), then Informix is listening to that exact IP address. You can put * (asterisk) so it will bind listener to all possible network interfaces, you can use hostname in third column so OS must do resolution hostname->IP. There are some more possibilities. On windows platform, since v12, you have sqlhosts in registry or in sqlhosts file (as on *ix platform). Default installation and initialization puts in registry "*DESKTOP-V5DV3UV" for me (where DESKTOP-V5DV3UV is my windows machine name). So it will listen on 127.0.0.1 (localhost) and my (default) IP address. If you want to put specific IP address (some other network adapter IP address), then you have to put your IP address in registry - you can do that with Setnet32 utility (in All Programs->Informix Client SDK->Setnet32 - On server Information TAB you have hostname field. Stop server, put requested IP in hostname field, start server. HTH Hrvoje
Hi, Hrvoje After some research and testing, I got the same setting and conclusion. Thanks for the feedback and help! Best regards, Cristiano
