Well :-) ... you asked for it! onconfig is on the bottom of the message.
Anyway we already tried to change MULTIPROCESSOR to 0, NUMCPUVPS from 1 =
to 15 and SINGLE_CPU_VP 0 to 1 (not all at the same time, of course!). =

The worst case of performance loss is in a 4GL program that runs alone
reading a table with 100.000 records, a few records at a time, =
processing all the table and a few small tables also. =
It takes about 40 minutes. =
I know we can optimize both engines further, by changing other =
parameters but what I would like to know is how to minimize the
difference between them, although I do not expect a simple answer
for this.
