Re: The Ultimate Job Posting

Tim, Just a few quick comments: 1) Not all of us are opposed to the job ad being posted here. I found my current position from a post in this newsgroup. These postings are a great way to keep abreast of the Informix job market without ever leaving home, picking up a newspaper, or talking to a recruiter. 2) I do agree wholeheartedly with your suggestion of format. Then if someone didn't want to see the postings, it would be very easy to filter out the Subjects with the word JOB in it. Or the person could just delete the message without ever reading it. 3) I also get tired of the reposts of the same jobs over and over, but if your convention of LOCATION, OPPORTUNITY were adhered too, I'd be able to delete the postings I'd already read/saved. 4) One line I'd like to see added is a line for Web address. If the company has a web page, it's sometimes a good starting place to get information on the company and the product it produces.
