If you've restored the database then you must have a valid correct configuration file ($ONCONFIG) located in a valid $INFORMIXDIR and be using the correct $INFORMIXSERVER. Are you wanting to check the restore is successful ? As always, platform, O/S and IDS versions may be useful. Keith
Open the file $INFORMIXDIR/etc/$ONCONFIG . If you are using 11, then you can get all this from Open Admin Tool. The configuration is in the file located at $INFORMIXDIR/etc/$ONCONFIG. If
you don't have that environment variable set in your shell run onstat -c
which will print the currently running configuration along with the path to
the ONCONFIG file. Don't know what a DBS configuration is.
