ontape -c to a remote tape
Hi,
I have :
9.40.UC2E1 on Linux kernel 2.4.18
LTAPEDEV linux:/dev/rmt/0m
LTAPEBLK 32
LTAPESIZE 1000000
If I run "ontape -c" , online.log says :
15:12:42 Logical Log 150 - Backup Started
15:12:42 Logical Log 151 - Backup Started
15:12:42 Logical Log 152 - Backup Started
onstat -l :
53beceb0 30 U------ 150 1:30263 1000 1000
100.00
53ab6f28 1 U------ 151 1:1263 1000 1000
100.00
53ab6f68 2 U------ 152 1:2263 1000 1000
100.00
I <ctrl+c> and online.log says :
15:13:49 Logical Log 150 - Backup Completed
15:13:49 Logical Log 151 - Backup Completed
15:13:49 Logical Log 152 - Backup Completed
onstat -l shows :
53beceb0 30 U-B---- 150 1:30263 1000 1000
100.00
53ab6f28 1 U-B---- 151 1:1263 1000 1000

53ab6f68 2 U-B---- 152 1:2263 1000 1000

It means that "ontape -c" marks the Logical Logs after pressing
<ctrl+c>. I have seen on the remote machine linux that a dd command
was taking cpu time just after I run "ontape -c", this means I think
the Logical Logs are being backed up but not marked as "B".
I have some other versions of Informix and the same problem.
Is this normal?
