Firstly, I believe HPL is available for 7.30, but you may actually want to read your release notes to confirm that. Secondly, drop your indexes before the load and then rebuild them afterwards. Check out PSORT_NPROCS, PSORT_DBTEMP and PDQPRIORITY for improving index build performance. Thirdly, the next best advice I can give for improving performance is to FRAGMENT the loading table BY ROUND ROBIN across multiple spindles.
