Large HP9000 Informix users??

We're considering moving from Pyramid to HP9000 servers because of high Pyramid maintenance costs and software unavailability (Pyramid is second tier for Informix and zero tier for lots of other stuff - systems management software etc). We're running ONLINE 5.0 with about 100 Gigabytes on two MIServers (60 on one and 40 on the other). The applications are largely DSS type (most databases and tables read only). The data is extracted from a mainframe, built on one machine, and then transferred to the other machine (binary copies between the machines over TCP). Right now we're blaming the hardware for lack of performance. We know that's only part of the story since the database today has no parallelism for data query. Question: anybody out there doing query only type stuff (preferrably large) on HP9000. Using 5.0 / 6.0??
