RE: Shared memory base address illegal

Regardles of any other problems, you have too many virtual shared memory
segments. Set SHMVIRTSIZE in the onconfig file to between 26000 and
29000. 26000 is the amount of virtual shared memory that the engine is
actaully using in your example, and 29000 is the amount of virtual shared
memory it allocated for all of the virutal segments. AIX does not run
well with more than 2 virtual segments.

Subject: Shared memory base address illegal
I have a problem with Informix online 7.30 UC 8.1
I work on AIX 4.3.2.
My problem is, I have at end-of-day "shared memory base address illegal
using 0xd0000000, needs 0xffffffff", but I have setting
SHMBASE=0x30000000L
SHMADD=8192
SHMTOTAL=262144 (for 256 Mb maximum on AIX)
The onstat -g seg command return
16385 1381386241 30000000 132399104 2880 R 16155 7
16386 1381386242 40000000 8192000 724 V 1000 0
1236995 1381386243 50000000 2195456 632 M 260 8
409605 1381386244 60000000 8388608 724 V 1024 0
20486 1381386245 70000000 8388608 724 V 1024 0
258055 1381386246 80000000 8388608 724 V 609 415
...
to adresse c0000000 for a total size = 201506816.
And that is not my maximum!! Why informix generate a error for this
extention.
Anybody have a solution for me ??? Please help me !!
