We do this kind of thing via multiple construct statements and a menu in between where the user can select and, or, finished between each. You would of course do this in a loop, having only one construct statement and save the constructed where clause in an array for every itereation of the loop. If you do it right the better users are able to use it. It is however not something that's generally usefull as the user have to keep very straight at what they do. We haven't found a good way to display the results so the user can see what will actually happen. julio@sucupira.cpd.ufop.br (Julio Cesar de Figueiredo) wrote: :I need the CONSTRUCT make this select: :SELECT * FROM tab WHERE col1 <> any_value AND col1 <> other_value :-----------------------------^ -----------^ --------^ :-------------------------^ --------------------^ : :form: : : :col1 [ ] : Nils.Myklebust@idg.no NM Data AS, P.O.Box 9090 Gronland, N-0133 Oslo, Norway My opinions are those of my company The Informix FAQ is at http://www.iiug.org
